Integrity is Founded

Integrity Development & Construction was founded by Peter Jessop in 1991 with a commitment to thoughtful craftsmanship and community-focused building.

Pioneer Valley Co-Housing Community Completed

Integrity made its first major mark in the Pioneer Valley with the completion of 32 homes in Amherst as part of the Pioneer Valley Co-Housing community — one of the first communities of its kind in the eastern United States.

Anna Cook Joins Integrity

Anna Cook joined Integrity as a college intern, beginning a long-term journey with the company that would eventually lead to ownership.

Heidi Flanders Joins as Lead Designer

Heidi Flanders joined Integrity as Lead Designer, helping shape the company’s design-forward approach to remodeling and construction.

Aging-in-Place Certification

Heidi Flanders became a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), strengthening Integrity’s expertise in accessible, long-term home design.

New Ownership

Anna Cook and Heidi Flanders assumed ownership of Integrity. Today, Anna serves as Principal Project Manager and Heidi serves as Principal Designer, continuing the company’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and client relationships

Industry recognition

Integrity makes inroads in the Going Green article about Valley women leading the way in sustainable construction.

Community Leadership & Recognition

Integrity expanded its involvement in the local community through leadership and service:

• Anna Cook joined the Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity board.
• Heidi Flanders joined the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce board.

First Passive House Project

Integrity completed construction of a GO Logic-designed home in Amherst that achieved Passive House certification — the first certified Passive House in the Pioneer Valley and among the first in Massachusetts.

Expanding Educational Partnerships

Integrity became a partner in the Franklin County Technical School Cooperative Education Program, helping local students gain hands-on carpentry experience while building pathways into the trades.
Heidi also joined the Cooley Dickinson Hospital Golf Fore Health committee.

Supporting the Next Generation of Tradespeople

Anna Cook joined advisory committees for both Smith Vocational & Agricultural High School and South Hadley High School to help guide carpentry curriculum and workforce development.

In 2022, Integrity partnered with Smith Vocational to bring carpentry co-op students abroad for educational opportunities.

Leadership & High-Performance Building

Heidi Flanders became President of the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce.

Integrity also completed its first Unity Home in partnership with Bensonwood, continuing the company’s commitment to sustainable, high-performance construction

Builder Partnerships & Industry Recognition

Integrity joined the Bensonwood Builder Partner Program.

Heidi Flanders spoke on several regional panels and industry events, including:

• Dynamics in Health & Aging
• 20th Annual Women in Business Summit
• Renovation Lending Lunch & Learn

Integrity was also featured in a BusinessWest Article for its leadership philosophy, relationship-driven approach, and continued growth.

Builder Partnerships & New Headquarters

Integrity joined the Oasis Elite Builder Program.

Integrity acquired its new headquarters in Amherst, Massachusetts, marking the next chapter in the company’s continued growth and investment in the Pioneer Valley.
