About Integrity Development & Construction

Built on Trust. Rooted in the Pioneer Valley.

We’ve been building in Western Massachusetts for over 30 years, and every project starts a little differently. Sometimes it’s a family that just can’t squeeze into their house anymore. Other times it’s an old barn that’s leaning a little but still has a story left in it. However the project begins, we start simple: we listen, figure out what makes sense for your life, and then get to work building something that will feel right long after the sawdust settles.

Integrity Development & Construction is a woman-owned, design/build firm led by Heidi Flanders and Anna Cook. We keep the whole project under one roof, so clients don’t get stuck juggling designers, contractors, and phone calls. It’s one team from start to finish—people who already know the project and care about it. We treat each home or business like we’re building it for someone we know, because most of the time, in a small valley like this, we are.

Our Story

When Heidi and Anna officially bought the company in 2012, it wasn’t a brand-new start. They’d already spent years out on job sites, climbing into attics, standing in muddy foundations, and figuring out how to keep projects moving in all four New England seasons. They knew the crew. They knew the clients. And they knew that trust is built the same way as a good house—piece by piece.

Our Team & Culture

Over the years, that small crew of builders and designers has grown into a team of more than twenty. Some of us are on job sites most days. Others spend their time at the drafting tables, moving walls on paper and working through the details that keep projects running smoothly. Wherever we’re working, the goal stays the same—create spaces people love living in.

Our team can take a dark kitchen and turn it into the room where everyone ends up hanging out, or bring light and warmth back to an old barn of a house so a winter dinner feels comfortable instead of cold. Big projects, small projects—the heart of the work doesn’t really change. And the feedback that makes us happiest is simple: “I felt like part of the team.”

Listen First

We take time to understand what really matters to you—how you hope to live or work in the space, and what will make it feel right.

Build with integrity

Every step matters, from the first board to the final finish. We handle the work with care so it lasts and respects your home or business.

Guide with transparency

We keep you updated from early plans to the final walkthrough, so nothing comes as a surprise.

Community Matters

integrity is more than a construction company—we’re neighbors, parents, and active community members. Our team proudly supports local organizations, from youth sports leagues to United Way initiatives and chamber events.

We’re a woman‑owned business with deep roots in the Pioneer Valley, and giving back feels like the natural thing to do. Some days that means pitching in on a Little League field so kids have a better place to play. Other times it’s helping with a local fundraiser or showing up for a chamber event. However it happens, we’re proud to put time and effort into the same communities where we live and build.

Why Clients Choose Integrity

Clients come to us for more than construction—they come for peace of mind.

We bring:

  • Design-build expertise for residential, commercial, and renovation projects
  • Proven craftsmanship in historic and energy-efficient construction
  • Clear communication and respect for timelines and budgets

“Every project is a story. We’re here to listen, guide, and bring that story to life—one detail at a time.”
